A man in Whitehouse, Texas, was arrested last week on charges of stalking a female real estate professional. The agent filed a police report, claiming that Danny Shane Lafaitt, 44, had been repeatedly making inappropriate contact with her. Lafaitt was charged with third-degree stalking and is being held on a $300,000 bond.
According to the police report, Lafaitt first came to the agent’s office to inquire about listings, but the agent said she got an uneasy feeling during the meeting and gave him her business card, asking that he contact her later. Lafaitt visited the office on Dec. 19 and allegedly hit one of the agent’s colleagues with a disk tray when she was unavailable. Following the incident, Lafaitt was issued a criminal trespass warning.
The agent said she was later contacted again by Lafaitt, but he was using a pseudonym to hide his identity. He began sending her pornographic images and making sexual advances through email, according to police reports. A search warrant to investigate the pseudonym’s Facebook account showed that it belonged to Lafaitt, according to police.
